Robyn Baumgarten has designed Long Island homes for more than 25 years, and she has worked with some Manhasset families for more than 15 of them. Her work has appeared in House, Distinction, Fashion Manuscript, Newsday, and the Long Island Press. She runs her studio in nearby Plainview.

The husband wanted the basement bath to feel dark and moody, a true retreat. Robyn sourced a custom-made stone countertop and carried dark tile through the whole room. The finished space matches the rest of the house in quality but has a completely different mood.
