Interiors By Just Design serves the exclusive enclave of Brookville, located on Long Island’s Gold Coast within the Town of Oyster Bay. Renowned for its stunning estates, lush surroundings, and commitment to privacy, Brookville offers a notable blend of history and affluent living. Originally farmland, it transformed in the early 20th century into a haven for prominent families like the Posts and Vanderbilts, incorporating in 1931 to preserve its residential character. Today, this legacy is maintained through strict zoning that prohibits commerce and mandates large, two-acre minimum lots.
The village is home to a population of just under 3,000 residents, contributing to its low density and tranquil atmosphere. A striking feature is the young median age (around 25.7 years ), heavily influenced by the substantial student populations of LIU Post and the adjacent New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). These institutions occupy grand former estates, adding academic vibrancy and cultural resources like the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts to the community. Brookville residents also value access to nature, found in the Brookville Nature Park and nearby Muttontown Preserve.
Brookville attracts a highly educated and diverse populace, with significant White and Asian populations and a high percentage of residents holding advanced degrees. This was an amazing home and an incredible project. I designed the Living Room, Family Room, Entranceway, and Master Bedroom.
The home featured soaring ceilings, and it was important to add some pop without overpowering the space. I designed the stunning fireplace walls for both the Living Room and the Family Room.
I designed this space back in 2018, and the style is both classic and modern. I like to consider this my signature style, as good design never goes out of style. The fireplace wall I created completely transformed the room. The wood panels were custom-made to match the beautiful dining room table.
We focus on appropriate scale, proportion, and flow. Furnishings are selected to suit larger rooms, and layouts consider how different areas connect within the expansive footprint typical of Brookville homes.
